Is staph the same a mat rash? I know people get a form of it during surgeries and stuff and the wounds become difficult to heal. O also thought one form was mat rash.
They have moved the game to 11/9/2007. I had heard today that they had a number of students with staff. That is mean to get rid of.

Surely you mean September 11.. if it's November 9, that's just crazy.

I dont know how this will affect things, because it shouldn't go away in a week (or I wouldn't think so). Maybe its just a couple players and they want to err on the side of caution here, which would be the smartest way to go with staph infection.
Nope, November 9, the week after the last regular season game for most teams. There is that one week gap in there.
I've just had it verified by the principal of Clintwood High (the cancellation, not the makeup)

I don't know. Hopefully this just has started up and they are going on the side of caution. I can't help but think if it was something widespread it would have been cancelled earlier in the week.
I remember concerns about staph from my wrestling days, and we disinfected the mats several times per week as a preventative measure. There is one particular strain that is resistant to antibiotics, and the following article tells a little about it for anyone interested.
